Contrast Photo

In the middle of our bigger assigments we got this one; take a picture with a contrast. I took a lot of pictures but chose this one as it had the clearest focal point. A few of the contrasts in this photo is: vivid/dull, smooth/coarse, manmade/nature.

Having a contrast in your photos is probably the most important step to taking a god picture. Whether it's warm/cold, rich/poor, red/green or big/small it doesn't matter, as long as there's something to work with. Something that stands out. Without that you'll most likely get either a really boring picture or a really chaotic one.

I'm starting a in-Depth study so I'm going to post a lot from that for the next months.

Art Nouveau / Jugend

Art Nouveau is a art-style that blossomed in the end of the 1800's. It's characterized by its violent curves and asymetry.
Our assigment was quite simple draw a pattern, scan it, make a pattern repeat then a flat pattern. We had to do this twice, once with a black and white pattern and once with colour.
